if these people can place Vick at these events and aren't telling the truth then it's up tp Vick to prove he wasn't there with his witnesses that can testify he was somewhere else.

I still think there has to be a LOT of viable evidence against him to indict him. Like diesel said they could have had wires on some of these guys or even informants at the fights. I know a while back before this got huge I saw a story guy involved in dog fighting rings who turned informant for the feds and other authorities and would still attend the fights but to collect evidence and other important info for the authorities.

Vick really should just go unpaid for the season and deal with this.

Why unpaid? That seems even more "guilty til proven innocent" to me. As i've said, i'm not for suspending him... but if you do, how can you not pay him as well. He's still an innocent man.

He shouldn't...he should live off of his dog fighting winnings. WHy should he make a ton of money to further help mount a defense for something as foul and fucking cruel as this.

I still don't get how you think he should play football this year...its your opinion and you're entitled to it but it just surprises me. I feel like you are too concerned with just a couple of unreliable witnesses lying or something.

I'm sticking by my feeling that he should be allowed to play until he is guilty. Which is how i feel with everyone. I said it during the Duke case as well, and i was pissed they weren't playing. I can't pick and choose when i want to live by this belief, so i have to stick by it here as well. Personally, I think he's guilty as shit, always have, always will. But i have VERY STRONG feelings against people who are still innocent being punished. I hate it.

Some people have strong feeling for or against the death penalty or whatever, mine is the rights and freedoms of innocent people.

Nothing to do with witnesses or anything about the case.

How is a joint decision to sit out the season till this is over being punished? He should want to resolve this first and foremost and play football later. These are federal criminal offenses and like has been stated aren't just thrown together on a whim by a county prosecutor looking to make sure they looked like they were addressing the situation as in the Duke case.

The fact of the matter is, for me, that this will do nothing but cost the Falcons money and possible football games, be a media nightmare during the season, enrage fans and other groups and cause all sorts of problems at games around the country.

I'm all for protecting the innocent, but I also can't stand that we have a legal system that allows real criminals from petty things to murderers go free because of fancy lawyer tricks and "reasonable doubt".

I was talking about a suspension from the league, which the poll is talking about. And you know as well as I do, a "Joint decision" just means the league is giving Vick a chance to take time off instead of getting suspended. It doesn't matter to me who is putting the case together... he's still innocent, just like the Duke kids were.

If the media distraction is too much, then I understand the team giving him a paid leave. That way they can focus on winning and not being bothered with the rest of it.

I've heard WAY to many stories about innocent people in jail. Heart breaking stories about people being locked up and raped and beaten for 10+ years, only to find out they never did it. I'd rather let 20 guilty people go than put 1 innocent man in jail.

Until one of those 20 guilty people kills someone in your family.

Regardless of guilt or innocence...given the gravity of the situation, his status, and all parties involved...he should not play football until this is resolved...I don't think that has anything to do with guilt or innocence...just the right decision. Then when he is found guilty...he can rot in Jail and NEVER play in the NFL again.

Well i want ALL guilty people to go to jail. So yes, i want anyone who kills anyone in my family to go to jail... but i don't want someone who wasn't there to go to jail for it.

Like I said before, if he's suspended or given a leave of absence because of the media hype and distraction to the team, i'm more than okay with that. But if thats the case, lets wait until camp even opens to see how much of a problem its going to be.
