None of you have been to Candlestick, have you? That is Crap Land.

I remember the 1997 NFC championship game when I watched Green Bay beat SF, the weather was just the shittiest that you could imagine!!

Even after 8 years in the military and spending some time in some crappy places, I was more miserable there than anywhere else in my life

If you have not been there, you do not know what I am talking about

Some good facts to know.

And thought it was bad with bench seats with no backs.

I can only comment on the ones i've been to obviously... but i can't believe no one has mentioned...

Shea Stadium! Just a complete total pile of shit. They've been trying to replace that thing forever now. Finally, i believe they will be out of there in 2009.

I have to add one more and then I'll stop:

The Great Flush of 1971!

On the opening game of 1971 the toilets overflowed throughout the stadium creating a horrible mess. It seems the drains pipes to the sewerage system could not handle the volume. Following the game the Foxboro Board of Health declared the place unfit for human use and shut it down. They ordered the Pats to fix the problem prior to the next game or there would be no game.

The following weekend the Pats used all office people members of the local press to deploy throughout the stadium and flush all the toilets and urinals at the same time while also running the water from the sinks. All units were flushed and all taps turned on at the sound of a big horn. The Board of health was suitably impressed and the game was allowed to go on.

By the way Mike, although I've never been to Candlestick the weather as always a well known factor their, especially the wind. Stu Miller could tell everone about that.

There are two staudiums over the years known for extreme weather, Candlestick with the ocean wind, Stu Miller was blown off the mound in mid-windup during the 1963 all-star game, and Municipal in Cleveland for thick fog.

Those pins were given out to fans who endured night games at Candlestick when the temp got below a certain point. It was around the early 1980s that they gave them out.

A famous writer once said the "The Coldest winter I ever spent was the summer I spent in San Francisco" can't remember who though.....

Bil you also forgot that Cleveland Municipal was also known for smelling of wee.

You are right ssigs, outdoor, northern stadiums all have their weather days.
The old stadium in Minnesota where the Vikings played back in the day, Rich Stadium in Buffalo, Lambeau Field.

i think you determine crappy by the stadium itself...not outside factors...otherwise i'd say fenway cause of all the fans there

Fenway is crappy. I don't care how many seats they add or coat of paint they apply.
