That was Mark Twain.

The STAPLES Center sucks too, because it's always full of Kings fans.

lol... that must mean the Joe Lewis Arena and Madison Square Garden suck for the very same reasons.

"Hockey Town" couldn't even sell out a playoff game.

I was there in 1979. Saw a Cowboys-Steelers pre-season game. The Boys won on a late field goal. It seemed nice enough back then, but then again that was 28 years ago(yikes!).

'79 was the last time that they painted the roof (before the city made Jerry do it last year).

Dallas treated us real well. We were a group of very young soldiers on a break from some real intensive training. Having just spent nine weeks crawling through hills of &^$#* fireants and eating Texas dust it was good to stay in a good hotel bed and then actually mingle with real people.

It was at leat a six hour drive I think from San Antonio and from there we drove to Ft. Bliss in El Paso for six more weeks of getting our asses kicked.

i don't have a ton of experience with this, but it bugs the hell out of me when they play football games on the infield dirt. it's like the WR runs a quick in and uses the spot where second base usually is as a reference. it bugs me...baseball fields are baseball fields, and football fields are football fields, none of this multipurpose crap...and the metrodome in minnesota, that's the worst one of all...hell do they have rodeos and a 4 H convention in there as well as the twins and the golden gophers games???
