Here's the squad that Arsene Wenger has named to face West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthornes today.

Manuel Almunia
Mart Poom
Philippe Senderos
Johan Djourou
Joe O’Cearuill
Matthew Connolly
Gael Clichy
Armand Traore
Mathieu Flamini
Alexandre Song
Denilson
Mark Randall
Jay Simpson
Theo Walcott
Emmanuel Adebayor
Jeremie Aliadiere

Not surprising that it is a very youthful side. Plenty of young English talent with the likes of Theo Walcott, Jay Simpson, Mark Randall, Matthew Connolly and Joe O'Cearuill (pronounced O'Carrol). Brazilian Denilson who was given a standing ovation in his appearance for the reserves team may make an impact as well. Also Alex Song the young Cameroonian may feature in the midifeld. But the one who I hope gets plenty of minutes is Armand Traore teenage Frenchman is a natural left back. Given that he could slot into that position quickly depending on his development. From what I saw of him in the Bergkamp Testimonial the boy has loads of talent waiting to come out.

Oh and look at that, Mathieu Flamini has made the squad, last time I saw his face I think it was on a milk carton, good to see him back in the lineup.

So hopefully the Young Guns come through and defeat the Baggies make a statement along the way.

C'MON YOU GUNNERS!!!

Theo Walcott getting the start on the left side of the Arsenal midfield. With Adebayor and Aliadiere up front.

Senderos also starting, nice to see him back from that injury he sustained in the World Cup.

And West Brom are starting former Arsenal and Celtic striker but now fat old bald bastard John Hartson up front.

Hmmm Adebayor is replaced by Armand Traore in the 24th minute some sort of injury but no details.

Nice stuff Gunner! Hopefully Pompey can have a similar result tomorrow.

And DAMN FSC! With nothing on tonight, it would have been cool to catch a replay or two of these games tonight. All the have is an Italian league game and a women's college soccer game. Blah.

Well from what I have read even with the Young Guns in the lineup it was pretty much business as usual as far as the way Arsenal played, even the West Brom manager praised the second string saying something to the effect that they will never face quality like that in the Championship.

Now for today I agree Jay!

Play up Pompey! Pompey Play Up!
