lots of outlets..espn, cbs are saying branch doesn't play every down...combine that and possible character issue and that is scaring scouts away....

LMAO, Rusty that was pretty good man!
I really only have Branch slipping because of two things, I thought he had a better first half of the year than he did the second but not sure why that was and because Okoye I think was great at the senior bowl and moved himself up as the first DT to go off the board. I can easily see a team taking him higher than I have him. Logically all things considered thats where he fell for me. I think the Raiders will have a shot at either Jarrett or Bowe with the 33rd pick, but that would have to coincide with a Moss trade I think. I tend to think they will go O line though with that pick, they really need help there.

yea i agree with beers with the raiders round 2 pick.....but if jarrett falls there, they take him...despite there need....
also if they are still available at the time...the jets take daymeion hughes (cb - maryland) and ben petrick (te - delaware) with there 2 second round picks... |

Even if the Jets take a corner in round one? Hughes may be a 3rd round pick though I think. Also don't know a ton about Patrick remember he was descent at the senior bowl and combine but isn't he too a 3rd or even 4th round guy? I guess you are really high on them?

i watch jets nation on tv...i get the jets magazine and get emails from nyjets.com....plus i read every website that has jets stuff on it(obsessive, yes!) lots of chatter about hughes and how impressed they are with him...i think they'll take him in round 2 cause we only have 6 picks in the whole draft...
petrick or patrick...i forget...they say he's rated 3 or 4 on the te list...again...lack of picks makes me think they'll grab him if they feel he won't be around....both fill needs....even if they take a cb in round 1...you can never have enough |

Thats why I could see Olsen going to them in rd 1 if he were to fall to them which I really doubt he will.
I just find it hard to imagine with that few picks they would take a shot on two CB's, but you are certainly the Jets expert. I have them pinged to look to address OG and WR in the draft as well as CB and I guess TE, but do they really value the TE position that highly, Baker was your guy last year right?

jets haven't had a solid secondary since i can remember....to tighten that up with 2 picks where you can then trade david barrett for a second day pick..i think its worth it...they have baker but they want that backup guy...the jolley incident is behind us..after baker, we don't have really anybody that means something....the line is solid...i can see them wanting more depth and for the future but i don't see them addressing it unless a 1st round guy completely drops for whatever reason...
the needs for the jets are cb, te and lb...with the outside positions being ol and wr(if they move mccareins) |

Yeah that all makes sense. LOL forgot about the Jolley incident. McCariens or however you spell it is a joke. Obviously they know what they are doing but it just seems like the two 2nd round guys they are interested in aren't really 2nd round talent. But they've seen them and studied them and prolly had them in for workouts so what do I know lol.

some mocks that i've seen have hughes in round 1..thats high for him but don't forget the jets pick right near the bottom of round 2 so its a good spot to fill needs...hopefully calvin johnson is around at 25
