If you are taling about what I said... i never said he'd be a changed man... but the fact is, he did pay for his crime. Our judicial system said he did once the judge issues the sentence. And of course the league can do whatever they want... i'm just saying i'll put money on him playing in the league again. Teams will want him and the league will give him a chance.

No that was not directed at you it was my general thoughts...you're not that important that all posts revolve around you

However even if the judicial system does say he's "paid" for his crime doesn't mean that society has to agree and in most cases don't. Depending on how all this plays out the league very well may not let him play again...on that day I will celebrate.

Ethicly,I agree with Beers. He should be kicked out of the league for good. But,ethics only go far today.Judicialy speaking, what he did, sadly, does not convey a long sentance behind bars especially if a plea is involved. All things considered,he will be playing in the NFL again next season or worst case,in two seasons. He's done in Atlanta though.

oh, okay... it was just about something i posted, just wondering.

And agreed, the public doesn't have to look at it like he's paid for his actions. And also agree that i'll be rejoicing with you if they ban him.

The judicial system has nothing to do with whether or not he is allowed to play in the NFL or not. Its a privilege not a right to play in the NFL. They can deem any person not worthy out of the league, its their business, just like any other business especially with a conduct policy such as the NFL's.

Well said, and i agree 10000000%. Do I want him out of the league? Hell yes. And no, he won't get a long sentence if he does plea it down. Ethics mean shit in the world today, especially in the world of sports or anything attatched to big money.

I know this, and wasn't saying differently. I said in an earlier post that the NFL can do whatever they want. Its just my opinion that after his judicial mess is all over, the NFL will let him play again. I don't think they are going to look at his crimes as too harsh to let him play again.

Sure it does.If the judicial system declares someone innocent of a crime, how is the NL going to justify banning someone for life.If they declare him guilty of watching a dog fight but not involved in any abuse, they can't justify banning him for life. So, the degree of guilt as determined by the judicial system should be used as a guage to determine the punishment levyed by the league. Is it a requirement,no. But the punishment should fit the crime.Vick isn't going to be banned for life on some plea deal.

First off my post was directed at Rusty not you again Jay, geez.

The NFL can do whatever they want to Vick...sure how the plea and all the legal matters play out will be taken into consideration but just because someone can plea down (which I think is stupid) doesn't mean they are innocent and can't be treated as they want by the NFL. In the end it is a business and employees are treated as such. The commish's office has taken a hard stance on player conduct and continually states that it is a privilege not a right to be in the league. Players get suspended for violating the substance abuse policy all the time and the more they do the more they get suspended and they've never been convicted of a crime.

Regardless of how reduced his troubles may be from his stupid plea option...the animal rights activists, some players, most all fans, the media, etc will continue to beat down on him and I hope they do. The NFL has to look out for the entire league in that sense not one guy. If its going to affect $$$ or fans bringing offensive signs to games or protests outside of games...do you really think the NFL will just say oh well and let it be as it is? I don't and hope they feel the same.
