i'm not positive but they can agree to terms but can't officially sign that contract though till the period begins...to add to beers' point

i've heard the vilma for rodgers deal for about 2 weeks now....I HATE IT...i don't want some fat, quit on your team guy....

another rumbling was detroit sends rodgers to the jets, jets send dwayne robertson to denver and denver send dominic foxworth(cb) and a pick to the lions..possibly a 2nd

I'm pretty sure that released players can sign with any team on the day they are released...either way thats just semantics anyway.

I'm loving a lot of the rumors around the Eagles. Lito used for Fitzgerald or C Johnson...Asante Samuel....Gibril Wilson....Andre Davis...different DE's being thrown around...I hope some of this gets done

lots of rumors....by tomorrow afternoon, i bet a ton of signings happen..there's always a rush the first day...i can't wait..but i'm sure by the end i'll be miserable as the jets will end up doing nothing or everything i hate

calvin pace - de/olb arizona his agent came out and stated his client will sign with the jets, dolphins or 49er's..way to limit your options so soon!!!

i'd take him..he's not the greatest player but upgrades the lb spot cause he's a true 3-4 lb

Looks like the Jets got Kris Jenkins for a 3 and 5th rounder and sent Vilma to the Saints for a conditional pick

DE Justin Smith is visiting the niners...they are really looking to make some big splashes in FAency (already signed Deshaun Foster and LB Dontarious Thomas)

ATL is looking to bring Turner in for a work out

CB Asante Samuel will visit with the Eagles (PLEASE GET THIS DONE!)

The Browns have agreed in principle to aquire DT Corey Williams from the Packers for a 2nd round pick

yet free agency is only 9 hours old....yea no tampering has happened

1. i like the kris jenkins move but i hate giving up a 3rd for it..all of our picks are around the top 5 or 6 picks in each round...its a very high pick to give up..but i'm hoping they can move chad to get that 3rd back..anywhere in 3 is fine...that's how deep this trade potentially is

1a. I HATE THAT VILMA TRADE...here's why...it's based on how much he plays and they don't say how high that pick an be..can it be a 1st? or is it a 3rd and lower...plus the pick doesn't help us this year when the draft is deep

2. i like the browns trade..get a solid DT for a mid to late second where no DTs are really worth anything since this draft has ellis and dorsey and then a huge dropoff

3. samuel to the eagles would be huge..will cost them alot though!!!

4. supposedly the jets offered 4 years, 32 million to alan faneca..i think 20+ million is guaranteed

I think the Jenkins move is good too...sucks to give up tat 3rd but in reality I think hes worth it. I also didn't like the sound of the Vilma trade...to unknown from what we've heard so far

We have like 16 mil in cap space and they are good at managing that and making it work so I hope they sign him even for big money. I'd like to see them go after Antwan Odom as well and Gibril Wilson would be a nice addition if done right...adding via trade Fitzgerald or Johnson would rock but I get scared of the eagles stupid ways and values of it all.

flozell adams resigns with the boys...who also tendered barber, which means he's going nowhere and chris canty...also going nowhere..noone is giving up there first for canty...he's a good player but that's too high a price for him
