1. they don't wanna pay him but they know how valuable he is so fitzgerald is going to be a cardinal for years to come still
2. vikes need berrian and i can see that getting done...justin smith is also wanted by the niners..who want everyone apparently...the vikes need smith badly with ukeze having cancer and being out 3. i can see the deal being done but i thought samuel would wait a few days to see all his offers come in...either way it would be a great signing for the iggles 4. faneca deal could be done by sunday...who he'll sign with is up in the air |

I believe i've been saying for a while now that the Birds need better CB's than the combo of Brown and Shepard... looks like they are finally listening to me.

That combo healthy has been great...Lito couldn't stay healthy so this needed to be done whether all 3 stick around (which would be amazing if all healthy) is another story.
The Cards have Boldin so I wouldn't be surprised to see them try to move Fitz and that contract so they can address glaring needs on D. Faneca is gonna get paid huge money but he's getting up there in age...would be a concern for me.

no...you're wrong...fitz is going nowhere...sorry..deal with it and move on...haha
you're right...he's gonna get huge money...but he's 31 so a 4 year deal isn't terrible.. oh this just in...derek anderson signed a multiyear deal with the browns...no terms of the deal announced yet |

the jets are desperate though so we have to overpay and hope he holds up...he is a 7 time pro-bowler so its worth the risk
Jets closing in on Faneca? February 29, 2008 8:40 AM Unless something strange happens, the Jets will sign seven-time Pro Bowl left guard Alan Faneca in the next couple of days. Faneca, 31, was voted onto to the Steelers' 75th anniversary team and he's been one of the most consistent linemen in the league. He faded a bit last season, but he'll still command a signing bonus in the neighborhood of the $17 million that guard Leonard Davis received in Dallas last season. The Jets were also interested in Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel, but it looks like the Eagles may have the inside track. hopefully that is true |
