so much is happening...

chiefs reportedly do make the trade and send Jared Allen to the Vikes for the 17th pick in round 1 and both 3rd round picks..pick 73 and 82...for the chiefs, while losing the premier DE in the game, they now have 13 PICKS!! 6 in the first 82!! i think we'll see more trades involving the chiefs...they have so many options now in round 1..i still think herm is the worst coach in the league

for minnesota, this makes them a legit contender..the d is solid...if the qb position plays well and AP continues...they are now my pre-season favorite to win the nfc

also...shaun alexander was released...i said it would happen and now it has...where does he go now...he said indy or new england...but thats a backup role..i could see him going to houston or oakland cause they need to have 44 rb's on there roster...san diego as a backup role and don't ever count out the boys...of course nothing is going to happen until after the draft and teams see what they got

wade smith signed with the chiefs...who? he's a versatile o-lineman but more importantly a really good long snapper...i hope he fails miserably now..jk..good luck wade

jets TE is crying about his contract...chris baker left workouts over this...they gave him a deal about 3 to 5 months ago and he rejected it...he has 2 years and 6.6 million remaining...i think 3.3 million is enough..stop bitching

finally now that jake long is signed, who do the rams take..i'm totally switching my thoughts and think they'll go glenn dorsey now...i still think c. long is the better choice..guess we'll have to wait and see but if they do go dorsey...that leaves either c. long or gholston for oakland to choose from...unless they go dmac..i hate oakland

The trade is huge for the Vikes, that was one of their biggest needs and I had them taking a DE at 17, but they certainly got better than any draft pick they could have gotten there.

Its also great for KC helps them really rebuild, I have them taking Alberts at 5 if they stay there and now with pick 17 certainly a CB McKlevin, Cromartie, Jenkins...just depends on who is around I think.

Boldin now has joined Chard Johnson in demanding a trade as well (which isn't hard to imagine given the contract they just gave Larry compared to his). The cards say they have no intention of trading him but a nice offer could do it so we'll see.

As far as Alexander goes, he'll get a job, likely backing up and likely after the draft unless a team wants to bring him in as a backup and not use a pick on a back this year and wait. Hell detroit needs a back and they could sign him to a one year and still take Mendenhall if they go that route.

Rumor has it that the Eagles offered Lito and a pick to Detroit for Roy Williams but were apparently denied.

New Orleans wants to get out of their pick it seems by moving up or down if the deal is right and rumor has it they are exploring a trade for Shockey (who should leave the Giants IMO).

the saints offered a day 2 pick for shockey...i don't blame the giants for telling them no....

the saints seem to want dorsey or ellis...if the jets don't get mcfadden, then i wouldn't mind moving down to 10 and allowing n.o. to move ahead of the bengals to get him

i've also read alot that the jets might move up to 2...would they take mcfadden or c. long?

Shockey really doesn't impress me at all anymore..he can't stay healthy and goes games without a single look...granted that could change in a new system with a new team but first he needs to stay on the field which he can't do.

i agree...but would you rather have him on your team or a 5th or 6th round pick who might not make it to begin with

I've hated his celebrating a first down as if it were the winning catch in the super bowl for awhile now, add to that he's been complaining that he's asked to do this pesky blocking thing as a tight end and I really can't stand him.
