I'd be really suprised if the Cowboys were able to trade up to #1 w/o giving up Barber. And if they did, I can't see them letting him go.

before free agency, anything can happen...to me personally, i can see all those moves happening...the raiders need a DT to replace Sapp..they can get an O-lineman later

both picks and barber is alot to give up...maybe they could do both picks and a 4th..not sure if that would be enough

also..i think i said it in the barber thread...but i can see the cowboys drafting steve slaton..either way..with barber or with whoever they sign as a free agent..he's the speed back they need..

eagles will draft either craig steltz, safety lsu or tom zibokowski, s notre dame...another prediction of mine

haha well sleep well my friend...he was only signed for 1 year and i do believe he will be gone for good from the green and white

i tried to be serious and talk pokes football and i get jet bashed anyway....we get it..my team sucks

I for one, like our pick position enough to not want them making any moves involving current valued roster pieces. I'd have much rather the fucking browns not have made the run that they did, but what's done is done. If we draft as is, we'd have 3 of the top 50 picks in the country, and done wisely we could fill in some needs with those pics without trading two and someone valuable to move up for a "potential" star. Even if Mcfadden produced on the level of a Reggie Bush and wasn't a bust I think we'd be better suited overall to keep the existing picks.

Our offense overall is not the teams weakness, (which would be in no particular order secondary coverage, middle linebackers in coverage, tackling, offensive line coaching ineffectiveness, fundamental catching, receivers that can't stretch coverage) and I worry that introducing a true feature back may alter the play calling enough to disrupt whatever flow they are able to get into at times. Besides that, Our receiving core needs work and youth, in 3 years Owens will almost surely be finished, or a shell of his former self, Glenn will more than likely retire, and I shudder to think of a receiving core anchored by Crayton the talk now, choke later master and either Hurd or Austin who could potentially turn out to be great, but there is a ton of improvement needed there for both to live up to the potential.

they could pick up a really good cb in round 1 with the first pick and then could get a guy who could replace flozell adams if he leaves via free agency...if i was them, i'd stay put or trade both picks to the jets for the 6th pick...just a thought

I often admit that I'm college ball illiterate, but I'm curious as to where Jamaal Charles and Mike Hart are projected to go after watching the state farm competition yesterday. Charles seems like a monster physically with good hands, and Hart despite his size seems to have a ton of potential.

Also, how do we feel about the potential modificaitons to the playoff seeding currently being discussed wherein a division winner does not necessarily guarantee itself a bye and/or home game.

The league is looking at the Jaguars who two years in the past three grabbed the wild card with a better record than a division leader.

I for one like the present setup as it usually breaks down well, every few years there will be an anomoly like this to look at. I just wouldn't want division games which account for half of a schedule to be lessened.

There was potential this year with a 16-0 team for a 14-2 team to have the 2nd best record in the league but not have a home game. '

Reflecting back on this season for myself personally, I've found the 2007 season to be traumatic on a few levels:
1. My boys fit in with the theme of the season in not finishing what appeared to be a very promising season
2. My hatred for the eagles was dimmed a bit when they really stepped up and challenged the pats with their backup QB.
3. My hatred for the giants was dimmed significantly by their amazing performance on the road, in the playoffs, and mostly in the super bowl. I'm struggling currently with the attempt to hate on the giants all the while really respecting and almost liking this giants team.
4. Jerry rice's 12 game 22 TD record was broken which really bothered me on some level.
5. I've caught myself at times feeling bad for; the 72 dolphins; don shula; brett farve; tomlinson; (it seems my hatred for all things not cowboys may be fading, I'll work hard this offseason to get that back)

jamal charles should be a second round pick...and mike hart is a who knows right now...i'd say he's the 8 or 9th best rb available right now..he needs a good combine to pass some of them...he's durable and doesn't fumble...i say anywhere between 3 and 5 he goes

problem for hart and ray rice is that the position is very deep...8 to 10 guys are potential starters in the league or the ability to start i should say
