Romo = 0

So can you honestly say that up until last year you would have taken this same side of the argument had it been dilfer versus Peyton?

If I have a Yahoo fantasy football team,I'll take Romo.
Now are you saying that you'd take Eli because he'd be available later on while you could focus on the defense earlier? or that given a direct choice you'd pick him either way.

Also, you'd blow at being a general manager in the salary cap era, everyone is going to the spread offense, and it seems that the point totals are climbing dramatically which could be the result of it being very difficult to maintain a consistant dominant defense under the cap & free agency.

Hell, the dolphins defense was pretty damned good coming into this year and look at what that got them.

Let's be honest, and you can all quote and post this for years to come, Owens is not Jerry Rice, and does most of his damage after the catch. I think he definetely helps matters, but I wouldn't assume that without Owens (if substituted with a credible primary reciever) Romo would falter.

And Ok, romo's career is o for the playoffs when it counts, but does getting to the super bowl mean everything? if eli loses the big game by dropping 3 picks and panicking I'd say he lost when it counted. If just getting there is enough, why don't I constantly hear praise for Jim Kelly on here?

And the regular season meant a lot more than nothing, it put them in the post season, if we were bragging about an 8-8 run where romo played great and they didn't get to the playoffs you could possibly say the regular season meant nothing.

It is very easy to look through anti-dallas blinders in hindsight and say the 13 wins meant absolutely nothing because of a single game loss, but succeeding in securing homefield & a bye are far from nothing. Now, I'd hope to see a ton of posts if the giants lose on Feb 4th here declaring that Eli has done nothing.

nope, dilfer averages .67 interceptions per playoff game, Brady .75.

so yes, dilfer averages less interceptions per playoff game than Brady does, just what I fucking said. Notice I did not mention touchdowns, your bringing an additional stat in a reply to my statement is irrelevant.

jim kelly was a way better qb than romo....please don't get him involved...he had 2 amazing years in the usfl and took a terrible franchise and turned them around and put them in 4 straight superbowls...i don't care if he's 0-100 in the big game...he's a clear cut hall of famer and did it over the long haul...romo has had 2 good years and both years his numbers slipped toward the end of the season...when he does it for 8 to 10 years..then you have an argument

easy killer, again I never compared Kelly to Romo. Just saying that if the only deciding factor on "doing more" is getting a ring than dilfer is a top 30 QB of all time.

your a sports moron...i've listened to your babbling long enough....fine...to make it fair then you have to only count brady's first 6 games to match dilfer to make it fair and consistent...

6 games 4 int's - dilfer

6 games 3 int's - brady

your argument as usual is shit...dilfer is nowhere near brady..

cause if we go with your pointless argument, then we could say this and while it looks legit...its not

dilfer better than marino(24 ints), elway(21 ints) and montana(21ints) as well

please stop trying to act sports smart...we both your not...now retort with a 55 line post with other useless facts that support your "point"

and for his numbers slipping, this year his worst month was october, best november, so lets not pretend he played 12 amazing games and blew the last 4.

last season we faced 3 tough defenses out of the final 5 games (out of that season romo only played 10 games by the way) and the stat is only distorted because of lighting up teams like atlanta.
