Well said Klicks. I'm also okay with a charging penalty, or even a roughing penalty... sure its boarderline, but i wouldn't bitch about it. The league is only looking at the end result. McAmmond gets back up, there is not even talk of a suspension. Not that the NHL is consistant anyway.

That hit reminds me of one of my all time favorites, thanks to Mike Richards...

nice one jay, I could feel that way up here! Agree with your sentiment that if McAmmond gets up there is not even any talk of a suspension. I'm beginning to think the guy has a glass jaw - good thing the flyers moved him quickly after the '01 season.

Ohhh, thats right, i forgot he played for us for like 5 games that year (actually it was 14 games counting playoffs, i had to look it up).

That would be pretty incredible if you pegged the exact year from memory. That was the year Buffalo made us their bitches by winning 8-0 to knock us out of the 1st round.

The Richards hit is a beautiful clean hit. He was in the play and nailed a guy in the play. Downy skated half the length of the ice and then nailed McAmmond in the head.

If he was skating with his head up, it wouldn't have been near as bad. Downie wasn't going for his head, he just happened to hit him there. The fall out from that damn hit is laughable.

The retard Sens coach is calling for a 3 year suspension. Does he not remember he has Chris Neil on his team? And check out some of Colby Armstrongs gems of video clips. That guy has 3 or 4 that are worse than Downie's hit.
