Again, agreed. Was only pointing to Boston because they have been anti my team all year. And yes, there are many many fans of the Bruins who are the same way. And yes, all teams have fans like that, but its really an alarming number of Boston fans that gets pointed out to me. On the Flyers board, there are daily "copy and pasted" posts from Bruins message boards.

Bruins fans and Pens fans are by far the worst in the Eastern Conference. (and of course, not ALL of them, just a very large number)

They don't like us... but i guarantee you they don't call Flyers fans "whiney" or "bitches". Most of the time we hear that we are thugs, and only like it when our team is out there trying to hurt other players. We do not whine when our players get hit by other teams.

Not many fans of other teams in the league like Flyers fans. And thats the way we like it. In a recent poll among players, the Flyers fans were voted the most intimidating or something like that. I'll have to try to find it.

hehe, I'd rather be called a thug than a bitch. Flyer fans at the spectrum have always been loud and proud and probably do intimidate visiting teams a bit. Is that guy with the signs still around?
As far as the league as a whole goes - having fans of any sort, whether they are whiney or obnoxious or whatever is good news. More media coverage, even if it is just griping about other teams, is good for the health of the league.
Besides, all that griping gives you something to gripe about too Jay

Boston media still whinning like little babies and we didn't even sick our mean guys on them the little boys got hurt by non gritty players....poor saps.

Yep, the sign guy is still there, just about every game from what I hear.

The Boston media is always looking for a reason to cry, it is their reason for existence. You have to remember that these are the guys that created the "Curse of the Bambino". They sold a lot of books and made a lot of ESPN gigs off of that one.

Philly fans have always thrived on a rep as the meanest in sports and their media also play off of that.

LA fans are known for arriving late and leaving early. As a result their media guy have no clue and the NFL ignore them.

Montreal hockey fans have a "the Stanley Cup is our birthright" attitude and to this I say "a chacon son gout, ceux-qui rient le vendredi, pleureront le dimanche!"

i swore i saw empty seats down by the ice last nite...couldn't tell if it was empty or aperson wearing red cause i think the seats are red and it was tough to tell and i'll shut up now
