There are also unconfirmed reports that Atlanta has offered defenceman Brian Campbell $60 million over seven years, a staggering sum even if Campell had 62 points last year, which tied him for third in defence scoring.

This is what I was saying before Beers... i'd love to create cap room for this dude, but seeing as so many teams want defense, and he's the top guy... some team is bound to overpay for him.

There is also a rumor out there that they may be looking to move Dan Boyle to clear some cap room as well. Imagine their D with him gone! But i'm trying to keep rumors to a minimum in this thread to not make it confusing.
