My problem with the Cards is that this bullpen situation is nothing new. They know that it sucks. I know it sucks. Everyone knows it sucks. Instead of doing something, anything about it, they are just going to stand pat.

The Cards are still within reach of the playoffs, maybe even the division title but they aren't looking to pick anyone up. I don't get it.

I honestly don't get why the cards haven't made any moves either. The Cubs may be slumping right now but they can get out of it and be hitting and if the Cubs and Brewers run away from the Cards the GM is going to be beat up for not going out and trying to keep pace.

I don't think right now they need any starting pitchers because none of them have fallen off yet, it could happen because some of their numbers are better than their career numbers, but honestly i'd be more worried about someone like Aaron Miles falling back down to his average than say kyle Lohse.

If the Cards had a bullpen they would probably be in first right now, but you can always say if and such with other games the cubs should have won and should have lost, and the same goes for the Cardinals but it sure has been fun, i'm sure more fun for the Brewers recently with their 8 or 9 game winning streak or whatever, but I'm just happy were still in the lead for now....

Wow, that series with the Brewers was brutal

Monday the bullpen inherited a tie and lost
Tuesday the bullpen inherited a lead and lost
Wednesday we are no-hit through 6 and end up being shut out
Tuesday the bullpen inherited a lead and lost it in the 9th

According to MLB.com, while the Cardinals starters are a combined 42-24 -- tops in the Majors -- the bullpen is 15-23 and has been given the decision in five of the Cardinals' last seven losses. Talk about frustrating!

Big 4 game series between the Cubs and the Brewers this week.

The Cubs lead the Brewers by 1 game and the Cardinals by 4.

The Cardinals play the Braves and the Braves as well as the Cardinals are having bullpen problems.

My take on the Cubs series, if Lilly beats C.C. Sabathia tonight than the Cubs take 3 of 4, if the Cubs lose today, they lose 3 of 4.

I see the Cardinals taking 3 of 4 from the Braves as well.

I think the Cubs and Brewers will split.

Cards lost 3 of 4 to the Braves. We never seem to play well against Atlanta.

Cubs take game 1, Ned Yost is trying to kill C.C. sabathia he has thrown over 100 pitches in 4 of his 5 starts as a Brewer. His other start he threw 97 pitches, he is averaging 112 pitches per outing as a Brewer. Thank You Ned Yost wear his arm down.

Game 2 Sheets Vs Zambrano if we win this game it makes a sweep look like a possibility.

Because the matchups would be Dempster vs Parra, although I think we may lose that game.

In game 4 Harden gets his first win as a Cub vs Dave Bush.

Oh and as I said The cards still take 3 of 4 from the Braves, Braves have no starting pitching or bullpen lately.

Wellemeyer beats Jorge Campillo tonight.

Carpenter will be rusty in his first start back as a Cardinal and Jurrjens will get the win for the Braves.

Then the Cardinals rock Mike Hampton and Joel Pinero moves to .500 on the season at 4-4.

Well the Braves sure did look shitty last night. But hey, if the Cards can score over 10 runs every night, then we'll win some games!

Cubs take game 2 from the 2nd Brewers Ace

Cubs bats broke out for 6 runs against Sheets and Zambrano shut the Brewers out for 8.

Cubs move to 3 games ahead of the Brewers.

Cardinals blow open a game in the top of the 9th to make it 8-2, the Braves score 1 in the bottom of the 9th but that would have only been good had they kept the Cards scoreless in the 9th.

Cards remain at 4 back from the Cubs.

My predictions are looking better and better.

Dempster vs Parra

Harden vs Bush

Cubs take at least one of the final 2. Possible sweep if good Dempster shows up.

If I thought the Cards were a threat to win the division there probably would be.

If we had any Brewers fans here there would already be a huge feud.
