Hamels is just a flat out stud. The bats have really stranded a lot of players over the past few games, so that needs to stop. Lidge is lights out, however he almost had a lightbulb burn out last night, but got it done in the end.

Boy did the bats come alive last night. What an ass kicking. Howard with two bombs, well done sir. Gotta give it to Moyer, he pitched a good game and worked his way out of a number of jams to not give up a run.

Yeah it is nuts, however 69K's in 174 ABs is not good at all.

Good game last night for the Fightins, Kendrick didn't have a great showing and unraveled after hitting a batter but the pen came in and did a great job.
Howard had a nice game only a triple away from the Cycle, he's showing signs of life every game and is taking balls to the opposite field, definitley a good sign. Lidge got a chance to get his 12th (I think) save vs his old team and Burrell who was slumping (0 for his last 11 I believe) came in as a pinch hitter, worked the count to 3-2 and drove a bomb out of the park to break the tie game. |
