they were random strangers were low level guys that i got to sign...neither emailed me during the year so i dont know there stance...the backup fs is joebarber..he seems to be involved along with kingmoffit...both are signed longer term though...i have no idea if the two you mentioned will resign

you might want to message them along with a contract and see if they answer with there intentions

I started a thread on the team forum trying to assess what guys we'll have and whether or not they boost and if they do when they do it. That way we can try to see what we would like to look at in the FA market, there is plenty out there but a decision will need to be made whether we want to go for higher lvl guys who cost more but can start and make an immediate impact or slightly lower or same level guys who get a little less money and add depth/starting ability or lower guys mostly for depth.

We should also try to plan out how much we want to spend (and what areas we certainly need) on new players/contracts so that we can invest more into the Stadium, the more seats we have before the start of the next season the more money we'll come into at season start and throughout the season.

The biggest issue to me right now is about Sig's players. Thats my #1 focus at the moment... if his guys leave, we lose two starters on the D-line and I believe our two starting safety's. That will be the top priorty then because we will need to sign players to be starters, not just back-ups.

If his players stay, we really won't need to spend too much on new players... our roster is pretty much filled for the next season plus some. We'll then have to save up and make enough money to rework all the contracts in 2 to 3 seasons.

Oh and all my players will be boosted at the begining of the season all 3 levels. Other than McFadden... i'm a bit short on flex points (and money to get more), so he may only get boosted 1 level right away. I figured the back-up would be the best guy to boost the least. Its 900 points each for my 3 offensive guys i believe. Ouch.

We're not looking to improve our current roster or depth? You look at the winning teams in even our league and their roster is very close across the board in terms of level, not like ours where we have a few higher guys and then drop off. Maybe I don't quite understand how many years of "rebuilding" or whatever it is we're doing we're looking to do but eventually we need to build a competitive team we can't just continue to wait around. Even moving down a level the competition doesn't drop off very much. The more we continue to lose the less interest we'll have from current players (non-ranters) and future prospects, someone give me an idea of what the current plan and goal of the team is please.

If we are not looking to improve the team with FA's that can contribute we should then look at investing a good chunk of money in more and more seating to bring in more and more revenue so we can eventually do that, I think we need to keep in mind that with each year yes our players get better but so do all of the other players on all of the other teams that already destroy us, just food for thought.

As far as Ssigs guys, well he needs to make a decision, the end of his contracts are fast approaching and he should just suck it up and decide, sure we'd all love his players to stay (yes me inculded) but if not lets plan on moving on...it should be a simple yes or no.

I guess we'll have to gets Stinks opinion on this as well. I really don't know what it would take to add some good players... i've been trying to take a crash course in building a team, but up until now, i never had a reason to look into it. I honestly don't know what to do. I'll try to add better players, but thats going to cost a lot of money... i don't want to get shit for spending too much on higher level guys. They will be making more than all of the Ranters are making.

So you are thinking we should add higher level starters? Or back-ups? If starters, which positions would you think i should go after?

I am trying to throw all of this out there for discussion so that the powers that be can make some final decisions and we can act accordingly...any and all input from everyone would be great and then a vote or stinks makes a final say or something...just trying to help out and get us moving along.

NutCracka (lvl 15 SS) resigned his contract and will be boosting by the way

Trust me, i appreciate and need the help. I guess we'll wait for Stinks to get here today (if he can) and see what his thoughts are as well. Looking at the BBB levels, we are behind some teams, but should be much more competitive. Maybe adding a few good players would help. I'll try to take a look tonight and get a feel for what is out there and what they would demand.

Also, i was planning on waiting to see what CPU players were added to the team, and then replacing them for depth after the season starts. CPU players do nothing for us.
