sorry i wasn't around today to chime in. The out of position penalties are supposedly minimal for a TE/FB swap, any line swaps etc but would be a bit worse for a cb playing rb or something completely nuts.

I'm all for anyone we could sign that isn't a fucktard and doesn't want 250k a season, you guys seem to be on top of the money situation so how much will we have to sign before taking into account ticket sales starting next season? how much is our current roster going to cost us next year?

I certainly don't deserve any final say today, I'm still on the dime of mr. ssigs, who by the way I need to get to accept GM powers so that I can call him to make changes and whatnot if ever needed and I'm blocked or away. He doesn't seem interested in maintaining anything teamwise day to day at this point but hopefully he still accepts.

No, i have not attempted any signing at this point, other than re-signing our own. I really can't until we know about Ssigs players first. If all his guys are leaving, that will be our #1 priority to replace them... then we will see what kind of money we have after that. If his players stay, then i (or anyone) can go out and make our current team better. My hands are really tied at this point.

Haha a K was put in at QB and threw for 330 yards and 2 TD's on one team during a scrimmage...maybe we should demote Jay and put Rusty in at QB!

This brought up an interesting debate however, people taking low interest guys (ie guys who cost 100 flex points) and making all of their attributes higher for a different positon like strenght and throwing and vision etc for their "kicker" but built as a QB. Only downfall is that the SA tree is still a kicker tree not a QB obviously, thought it was funny.

lets assume his guys are staying and sign based on that, maybe we can pick up some depth. If he leaves we're completely fucked and are never going to be able to fill his slots for anything resembling a reasonable salary so we may as well try for best case scenario I guess.

Ssigs at what levels did the minimum salaries increase greatly?

I'm thinking that although it would be nice to sign lvl 20 and higher guys it may be more fiscally responsible to sign 15-17's and let them either boost or develop.

very interesting. I'm thinking I'll spend the 200 points and turn a DT into a WR. That guy with 70 speed would be impossible to stop. I guess the out of position penalties are horseshit.

Question as well, I was going to look over the finances and see what we could spend and still be in the clear for daily salary however I have not accepted the GM offer ssigs sent, should I or not?

The penalties are still there, this was a scrimmage...what the penalties really are is pretty unknown, just that there are but who knows if its for the player or the team or what...also they are implementing "sportsmanship" as well so that may come into play for that rating and apparently that affects people who have more than 3 players on 1 team...thats such BS, need to find out more info about that.

Yes, you should.

My guess is that they will come up with a way to prevent people from wanting to play out of position... so we shouldn't go down that road. No way they are going to be cool with people using kickers as QB's, they would lose money.
