The red button was only a tool, not a weapon. If we used it wisely, we would be able to have it.

Similar to a hammer. If you used the hammer for its intended purpose, to hammer a nail into something, you would still have it. If you used it to bash someone's head in, you would no longer be able to use it because it would be taken by the police as evidence.

But then there's the happy medium, which would be similar to asking Mike before pushing the red button. With the hammer analogy, you would use the hammer to drive a nail into someone's head. The damage would be done, and you would still have the hammer, because the nail would be evidence instead.

The moral of the story is, if focal had asked Mike before he banned Raider, the damage would have been done, and we would still have the red button. (And no, I don't think Mike would have agreed, I'm just working along the lines of my analogy).

No, I only mentioned the RED BUTTON a couple of times.....like "Careful Raider, I'll push the red button if you don't shut up." I didn't actually plan on pushing the red button, nor did I tell focal to do it.
