well good for the fucking Eagles.. they played a middle tier schedule this season. they faced no real competition in the playoffs. don't give me this shit Atlanta was a great team. put them in the AFC they finish 9-7. that running game of theirs, nothing speical when you face quite a few weak run defenses.

eagles could win cause they got a great defense, but so do the Patriots. they both allowed the same amount of points this season.

eagles win they win because Pats probably played a bad game. Pats win they win because their defense once again do what they always do in the playoffs. create turnovers.

He was being sarcastic, dummy. Hence all the outlandish and ridiculous "proofs" of the Eagles' Superbowl destiny......which meant that they really had none.

Honestly, I wasn't sure how the game would go (hence, Ish, you're right that the column was just a goof). I was really torn: As a Jets fan, I hate the Patriots; but as a New York fan, I hate all things Philly. So in leiu of a tie, I guess I was pulling for the Eagles to win. Too bad Andy Reid's offense turned out to be more conservative than Newt Gingrich at an Antonin Scalia Fan Club meeting.
