It Ain't Over Yet!
It Ain’t Over Yet-Brady and Montana Comparison
By Callie Spear He’s not your average Joe…..or is he? With only 5 years in the NFL, Tom Brady has proven to be one of the best-ranked quarterbacks in the nation. And who gets him? The New England Patriots. Brady, already a rising star, has... Full Article Last edited by callie_spear; February 10th, 2005 at 03:16 PM. Reason: grammar mistake |

great article and good comparisons, well good not cmparing the two, you cannot. Two quarterbacks one two totally different teams in two toatlly different era's Acutally Brady has Two SB MVP's just to make a small correctiont there Montana was the first one of a kind and there is no doubt to that. His stats in super bowl games are just outstanding. I am sure, barring any injury or crappy play, that Brady will win more and break every known record in SB history for a quarterback. Ask him how he compares to Joe Montana, that is an answer that i would love to read or see on the news |

In terms of coolness and leading the team, he does compare to Montana. In terms of physical gifts, he probably actually is better physically than Montana. That's not a slight to Montana, either. Both saw/see the field very well. Both are similar in mobility. But I think Brady has a stronger arm. Brady probably has to do more in terms of playmaking the Montana did, considering the surrounding talent on each team.
Brady has said he feels honored to be mentioned in the same breath as Montana, but that he doesn't think he's on par with him. He was humble about it. |

I'm sorry, I know I'm picky here, but I just have to do this.

I noticed that one too, but didn't want to come across as an arrogant fuck.

I had Randy Cross, three time pro bowler with the 49ers and won three sbs with montana on my show last week. He said the montana brady comparisons are warranted, which i never thought a montana teammate would say. He is very high on Brady and loves watching the kid play.

yeah u can compare all u want but Montana at this time is/was the better QB, but when Brady's career is over who knows he might be the best if u consider winning SB's the way to judge a QB's career.
