Basketball has been fun to watch this year, but they aren't quite consistent yet. Beat Miss St. by 50 and then lose to UF by 30. I hope we can get hot at the right time like last year.

FYI- I will see a game at Phog before I die

Bama's doing alright. Luckily you don't have to be great to compete in the SEC and get a tourney bid (IMHO). Right now on ESPN's Bracketology, they have Bama as a 5 seed in KU's bracket. Perhaps they'll meet up and give me another up-close look at what the SEC has to offer.

P.S. You'll be glad you did. It's an arena unlike any other...partially because it's a fieldhouse, not an arena. If the game doesn't entertain you (which is highly unlikely), the students usually put on a good show in pregame and during free throws. Plus, one of my favorite characteristics of the Phog is how it actually makes a difference when it's a day or night game as sunlight shines onto the court during the day. May not seem that exciting, but it is very unique.

The SEC is definitely down this year.

I'm hoping Gottfried can schedule a home and hom with KU one day. I think you would be surprised by the number of Bama fans that would travel. I'd fly in from ATL if at all possible for sure.
