Brackets are out.....
Personally I think Notre Dame, and Maryland probably got screwed the most, but both should look at blown opportunities.
As far as seeding, Lousiville, Florida and Kansas probably got the biggest hoses, Washington, Dook, and Uconn got the biggest breaks..... OF course I think as soon as Kansas was relegated to a 2 or lower, the comittee made up their minds to put them somewhere in Carolina's bracket. |

ND and Maryland played so horribly down the stretch they deserve the NIT. I was surprised to see No. Iowa in though ahead of Buffalo or Miami.

Maryland [16-12 (7-9), RPI: 65, SOS: 15] Terps found disaster scenario by losing for third time this season to Clemson in ACC opening round. Maryland closed with four straight losses to end the season and, despite a sweep of Duke, had a 6-11 record against the RPI Top 100. ... Sweep of Duke is nothing special. Had it not been for WF and NC going down Duke most likely doesn't win the ACC and probably gets a #2 maybe #3 seed.
Notre Dame [17-11 (9-7), RPI: 92, SOS: 109] Stunning loss to Rutgers in opening round of Big East tournament was the final blow, but losing four out of last five helped bounce Irish. Brutal Big East schedule and over-.500 record not enough to compensate for finish and poor RPI and non-conference SOS. ....... RPI 92 SOS 109...JOKE. they don't belong. Washington got a break??? 3rd in RPI behind Kansas and Illi, 5th on SOS behing Kansas, OK State, Duke and Missouri. Look at Illi 41st SOS and NC 23rd. Louisville 12th RPI, 55 SOS. UCONN I know they didn't win the Big East but had a 16RPI, 10th SOS while Cuse was 22RPI, 64th SOS. |

Duke got a break because Kentucky, Kansas and Wake were all in line for that 1 in front of them along with not having to beat NC and/or Wake in the ACC tourney. Washington had the RPI and was right there with Duke in SOS so if Duke got the #3 overall #1 seed then Washington deserved the #4 overall #1 seed.

Vermont at #13 should have been an #11 or maybe #12.
Gonzaga should have been #4 not the #3 they was giving. Texas Tech shold have been a #5 not a #6 |
