Keep Your Head Up
So how soon are they going to stop wearing pads in the NFL? If the league keeps banning different kinds of hits, the plastic protection will soon be obsolete.
Word out of Hawaii is that the NFL is considering making a hit on an "unsuspecting player" qualify as "unnecessary roughness." ... Full Article |

And to take this one (or two) steps further - what about when the QB gets creamed by the weak side LB on a blitz....he wasn't looking either. I mean is this going to become some sort of lame excuse to get a flag thrown - Hey Ref I got tackled and I wasn't looking, where's the flag?
The NFL is already getting ignorant with the amount of laundry being thrown on the field and for what reasons, if anything the NFL needs to amend some of the rules. Especially false starts, I mean if the guy sneezes, farts or breathes wrong - "5 yards - repeat 1st down" It should be changed to something in the nature of "where the offensive player gains a clear advantage". Onto the subject of holding....oh never mind I don't have all day - and it's all been said before. |
