College Sports This forum is about some weird social strata involving brow-beating, bragging, one-upsmanship and self-proclaimed superiority. Not necessarily involving athletics.

Greatest Comeback in the History of the World??

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/ncaato...ory?id=2022999

The comparison the writer makes to Duke/Kentucky is not an overemphasis. Did anyone else "call the distance" between them from start to finish of the run-for-the-ages? Weird feelings, shananigans, and bizarre scenarios rather guarantee this one being permanently branded into my consciousness, as well basketball lore.

To summarize: Holy f*cking SH(T.

Greatest ever maybe in college. Personal reflection reminds me swiftly of the Boston Red Sox, and corrects such claims concerning world history.

I got one.....

UK 99 LSU 95....anyone remember that?

http://www.ukfans.net/jps/uk/Statist...ianaState.html

"They were down by 31 points, and making such elementary mistakes that one might almost have expected Rick Pitino to stop the game, concede, and leave. Instead, Kentucky staged the greatest collegiate comeback ever from a deficit to win the game 99-95, a new NCAA record."

North Carolina down 9 to Dook with 19 seconds left before the 3 point line was added to college basketball, tied up the game with 0 seconds left on a Walter Davis bank shot from 35 feet and then went on to win in OT..........

Angels down in Game 6 to the SF Bonds' in the seventh inning.

Winning that one and the next to take the best World Series in world baseball history.
