2004 Olympians who are now Pros.

This is something that I have been and will continue to follow. I'm not sure if anyone will really care, but if you are a boxing fan, you may want to watch some of these guys. This is a list of the boxers that represented our country in the 2004 olympic games. I also put a number (1-5) after their name, meaning my opinion on how good of a pro they are going to be... 5 being the best.

*Vicente Escobedo (2) - 1-0 record, Jr. Lightweight, not too much known on him yet, only one pro fight and he won by 2nd round KO. Lost 2nd round in olympics

*Rock Allen (3) - 0-0 record, Jr. Welterweight, supposed to have pro debut last week but oppontent called and said "i'm not coming". Allen is very strong, alot of potential. He received a bye through the first round at olympics for being one of the top ranked fighters in the world. But was upset in the second round.

*Vanes Martirosyan (N/A) - 0-0 record, Welterweight, debuts tonight (4/08), and will know more about him after watching him. Lost to silver medalist in the second round of olympics.

*Andre Dirrell (4+) - 3-0 record, Super Middleweight, looks very solid thus far, beat 3 solid fighters already. Could become a top fighter in the world. Looks like a seasoned pro after only 3 fights. Very quick hands and good power. Won bronze medal at olympics.

*Anthony Dirrell (3+) - 3-0 record, Super Middleweight, brother of Andre, didn't make olympic team but has been very impressive as a pro. Could see a very good brother team for years to come.

*Andre Ward (4+) - 3-0 record, Super Middleweight, the most hyped fighter from the US in a long time. Being called the "Lebron of Boxing". Won gold medal at 2004 olympics. Becides one bad round in 2nd fight, he has looked dominant. VERY quick hands and pretty good power.

*Devin Vargas (2+) - 1-0 record, Heavyweight, not very active in pros. Lost very close fight to silver medalist in olympics. Need to see more from him to have a solid opinion.

*Jason Estrada (-1) - 2-0 record, Heavyweight, unless he changes 100% he will not be a pro fighter long. Has all the tools to be one of the best in the world. Refuses to lose any weight, and is very overweight and out of shape. Has no heart in the ring, looks and acts like he doesn't care.
