Top 10 Heavyweights of All Time

The title of “Heavyweight Champion of the World” was once the most esteemed in all of sports. It meant that whoever held that position was the baddest mf on earth. There was a time that a heavyweight title bout would literally bring the nation to a halt. These fights were like mini-Superbowls,...

This is the first list I have ever seen that does not have Larry Holmes. He started his career 48-0 (one shy of Marciano) and beat much better opponents. Holmes beat Shavers (x2), Norton, Ali, and Cooney during that run.

IMO, Marciano is too high... 80% of his fights were vs. guys who were under 200 lbs. And Moore certainly was not better than Holmes.

Other than that, very good article! The more boxing the better!!

Btown,

Thanks for the feedback...yeah it was tough leaving Larry Holmes off the list. He did beat an over the hill Ali & Norton, but the 48-0 record is extremely impressive. He'd definitely be my #11.

AWESOME! Great article man.

Ali, without a doubt IMO deserves the #1. I can't stand to see him now, it almost brings a tear to my eye.

I may not have placed Tyson and Foreman as high as you did, but it's all opinion. Keep these coming man!
