you have to pay $10 to fish?? how do they enforce this law....by spending more on gas for boats and paid overtime for boat police so they can go around asking fisherman for there fish payment receipts??? the gov't sucks ass

It starts next year and is supposedly pre-emptive of federal fines which be imposed on coastal states who do not initiate fees.

No, it is an annual fee, but you can be sure it will up very quickly.

they have been trying to find a way to do this in jersey on the coastal waters here for awhile.... flipping stupid, where exactly does this money go now?

It is supposed to go towards replenishing the fish but you know that is baloney.

and thats how they'd make the money, think the freshwater violation is multiple hundreds of dollars for fishing without a license or taking too many, taking fish not the appropriate size, etc.

license fee's are meant to only balance out and cover the overhead of the license itself, the state makes money on the fines.
