fuck you Lakers Rebuilding Starts With the Draft

with an abundance of top high school and collegiate underclassman declaring for the draft and with the Lakers selecting no worse than 10-12th,they will no doubt get a quality big man in the first round and a pure point guard in the second round. It will take time to nurture and bring them along slowly, but time is on the side of the Lakers as their core group of players are under the age of 28. It will take them maybe 3-4 years for them to get back to a championship caliber of team, but with a legitiment HC and influx of collegiate and free agent talent, they will no doubt be back in playoff contention as soon as next year. Thus all you Laker hating know nothings who think that it's going to be years, like it's taken your sorry as teams to finally make a playoff appearance, for them to once again be a successful organization and team and the only thing lseft for you haters to wonder about is why it only takes the Lakers a year to recover from disaster but takes your sorry ass teams decades to accomplish the feat.

You're right in that the Lakers will get a good first pick. But I don't think you'll get a "pure" point guard on the second round. If there is one available he won't last that long.

If you had your choice would you rather have a quality big man or a quality PG for the Lakers? Not any team, but your Lakers to come in next year and have an impact?

And, do you think Phil will be coach again next year?

Because of the fact that quality big men are very difficult to come by,I'd rather that the Lakers selected a big quality body whether it be a center or power forward, because that is one area that they're sorely lacking in.They need some inside toughness and that's what I feel that they should address with the first pick.Although the Lakers may not get one of the very top pg's in the second round, but even in the second round there should be a few pure pg's (sleepers) that other teams may overlook, even if it takes a couple years for him to develop because the core of the team is still pretty young.Rebuilding is not an overnight process and it may take a couple years to become championship contenders, but they can and should be able to make the playoffs with the addition of a couple quality players.

As for your question regarding Phil,I'm not at all sure that that situation will present itself and before all these Kobe hating geeks start blamming or start saying that Kobe didn't want him,let me explain to you why it may not happen.PJ has stated that he wants control of all basketball operations and part ownership of the Lakers.Well Dr. Buss has flat out said that aside from the little piece that Magic owns,he'd never give up any part of the Laker ownership becuse it's going to his kids when he gives it up or if he should die.So unless they can come to some other arrangement,it won't happen.I personally don't see what the problem is,because if PJ marrys Buss' daughter Jeanie,he'll have part ownership anyway, unless there's some form of pre-nup that would disallow it.

I'm sure there would be some type of pre-nup if they get married. That only makes sense. That's probably why PJ wants his own piece. (No pun intended!)

That's probably a true fact and if that is indeed the case, then I don't think that Phil will be coaching the Lakers come next season.I heard today on a local sports talk show that Phil was planning on setting up a one on one meeting with Kobe to somewhat clear the air about some of the thuings that appeared in his book. Thus if that happens, then there still may be a possibility that could come back as the Lakers coach.
