"the evil empire"....
In Boston we've had seens like this for a while now, especially back in the ALCS games we had that same type going on before every game. Its not their fault, they're getting paid to use names, and to show dorky clips, though in all honesty, the Evil Empire clips are damn funny. If you truly want unadulterated talk, listen to local radio stations where there are less promotions like that, and if you dont like it, just tune out. |

But then, that begs the question. It's an ESPN program broadcast from ESPN's version of Planet Hollywood. ESPN Zone is obviously another money maker for ESPN, but ESPN owns it. It's like Wayne using his basement to broadcast Wayne's World. He just happens to live there and it's convenient. But I do agree that it is an advertisement to some degree. It's a very thin line that again I think ESPN always treads. |
