For lack of locating a better spot, I've decided here is where I'll rant on my ill informed and less than educated opinions on all things olympic.

So far:
1. Annoyed they neutered the luge with the men tee'ing off from the womens start now

2. Koreans love to try to shaft Ohno!

Random observation:

I wish that Americans didn't think that they were too cool to actually sing the National Anthem. I think that Oh Canada sounds fantastic every time I hear it because the crowds are always singing.

Now THERE'S a song that people don't know the words to. Get past the first stanza and you get nothing but humming. Hell, most people don't know there are more than one stanza to begin with.

I love the idea of the Olympics overall... love the summer olympics so much. But too many of these winter games just have zero appeal to me. I watch and root for the Americans, but it's just too boring.

Cross country skiing, Biathalon, Moguls, Figure skating, etc, etc. Unwatchable.

I can get into the short track speed skating, shorter distance speed skating, hockey (of course), and even the snow boarding where they run 4 guys against each other. I can take or leave the Luge or bobsled... seems like you are watching the same thing over and over again... with guys going .00001 faster or slower than the other.

And anything where judges have to score how well you did is just insane. Talk about bias and inconsistancy. Why does it always seem like the "favorites" get the benefit of the doubt almost every time?

I don't really watch much of the winter games. I will watch the figure skating once in a while. Something about those muscular thighs and tight behinds as the girls shimmy backwards across the ice.

winter olympics don't do it for me..i'm with jay...i can watch the speed skating, the hockey, the luge and the snowboarding..and of course curling! but i can't deal with half the events and the personal interest stories i have to watch over and over again on nbc

i'm tired of costas, michaels and carillo already

yuck to nbc who decide women are more important so they need to show figure skating in prime time over hockey

It's retarded... but there was an article on Yahoo yesterday that explained that the figure skating ratings are always better than the hockey ratings. So it makes business sense for NBC to show it. I know it's annoying, but it's good business.

i understand that and see there side of it....but can they at least put hockey on primetime on cnbc or msnbc then....or something for men to watch...some type of skiing or jumping or finch fighting...there's nothing else on t.v. other than the olympics and i have to see ice dancing??

Okay, I see what you are saying... you don't have to have it on NBC, as long as it's on at a time where everyone can watch. I totally agree with you there. Why would the USA not be on during prime time?? Two of there 3 group games are on at 3pm on a week day. Total slap in the face to America IMO. Here is the group schedule, terrible....
