This match didn't even make it to the opening bell!!!

The winner by a TKO is DMon!!!!!

I'm withholding the topic as we may use it in a later round in the competition.

I bet if you check in your PM's it will be there....

that is a problem of mine however, with the new set up, you can not see if you have any PM's without actually going into your PM's. The old way all you had to do was look at the forum screen to see them in the upper right hand corner.

Ok, we will have a match after all!!!

However, SSigman will have one point deducted for a late submission for each judge's scorecard. This will be yet another entertaining match of Point/Counterpoint!

I agree and disagree.

Ssigs deserves every chance to submit his article, and have the same amount of time as everyone else.

I disagree with deducting points from his score for being late. As a matter of fact, I STRONGLY disagree. If Mike had not changed the format of the site, Ssigman would have known his topic and all would be well. I say each judge kicks Mike in the junk one time instead of deducting from Ssig's score.

I feel SO strongly about this, that if it holds, I'll judge Ssig 3 points higher than I normally would have, just to make up for the difference.

It sounds like you just disagree....let's talk about this further in private. I don't want to be judge, jury & executioner here, but the one point seems fair.

I'd be willing to give sig the benefit of the doubt here as well. He seems like he really wanted to participate.

Fine if no one wants to take points off because you feel its unfair then don't I really don't care anymore I just want to see this thing judged and done

I don't have the necessary clear mind to make a decision on this tonight. I am dealing with an actual real life emergency, and when I have made it through that, I will talk privately to Avery and KP.

At that point a decision will be agreed upon, and we can move forward.

Ok, all is well now.

Dmon, I don't want you to think I was favoring Ssig by going against the 3 point deduction. I just didn't have all the facts.

Now that I do have all the facts, I realize that the 3 point deduction is fair. The match is on, Ssig will lose one point per judge for accuracy. I have no idea what the topic is, but I have high hopes for a kick ass competition in this one.

Let 'er rip guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well now i have no shot lol but i gave it my best on short notice....the topic was cool and i tried to go a different route and i don't know if it worked but hey thats life...g-luck dmon
