Pistons Show heart Of A Champion
The Pistons did exactly what I thought they'd do,play outstanding team and individual defense and showed what real championship caliber teams are suppose to do whether at home or on the road. The days of the Two star teams winning championships are over,it's about putting together a team of good individual players and to that end Jerry Buss did the right thing by trading loud mouth ass Shaq because he wasn't going to lead the Lakers nor the Heat to any championship, this was his best shot and he still didn't get it done and he won't get another,as this is as close as the Heat will ever again get to compete for an NBA title. All his talk about making other players around him better, sure as hell didn't materalize in crunch time when it counted. The Heat with D.Wade is just like the Lakers with Kobe, the role players stand around and look at the star do his thing and that's why the Heat was a carbon copy of what the Lakers were last year in the championship game, the role players were ineffective. The most gratifying aspect of the Pistons win is that I don't have to hear Shaq's fu*kin mouth anymore about what a mistake the Lakers made by trading him, because he didn't do anymore for the Heat than he did for the Lakers over the past 2-3 years.
Anyway,I'm ready for one outstanding championship series between the Spurs and Pistons. It's a tough call to make as to who will win that series and as the Pistons just showed,it's difficult to pick against them in any series.Having said that,I think I'll go with the Spurs in seven, primarily because I want the championship to come back to the West, but I won't be upset if the Pistons win because they did what I wanted them to do,and that was to send the "loud mouth" hipocrit Shaq home for the summer.
