Lakers rehire Phil Jackson

What a crock... Kobe realizes what a mistake he made running him out the first time... so now it's okay with him that Phil is back.

I guess i would return too if I was going to get paid $10 mil a year to coach.

**RA, before you hell at me... cuz you will, this is just my opinion.

This will be the first time Phil is coaching a team without even a realistic chance of making the playoffs. How many of the current Lakers are familiar with the triangle offense? What is the cap space like to bring in better players?

Yeah, looks like the dollar has surpassed Zen in Jackson's ideology.

first off,Kobe had nothing to do with running Phil from the Lakers, sure they didn't see eye to eye,but it was the disagreement between Dr. Buss and Phil as it related to salary and other issues that caused Phil to leave last year. The real feud was between Shaq and Kobe and Phil was partial to Shaq, there is no more Shaq in LA,so I think that Phil and Kobe will have a better working relationship this time around verses the first time.

The real problem for the Lakers will be to find a couple more quality players to go with Kobe,Lamar and Butler, namely a point guard,a power forward, get the hell rid of Vlade and find a decent starting or backup center to Mihm. Before you start bad mouthing Mihm, just remember than Phil had the same type servicable centers in Chicago with MJ and Pippen.

I'm really looking forward to and interested to see what Phil can do with a team that he has to build virtually from scratch. I also think that without a Shaq to have to slow down the offense and wait for,he'll install more of an up tempo version of the triangle similiar to what he did with the Bulls and so the Lakers need to find some players who can hit some dam outside shots without cracking the backboard.
