3rd Anniversary Of The Rant
Today marks the 3rd anniversary of sportsrant.com. This site has come along way over the past 3 years, reaching heights that never entered my mind. When the first anniversary approached I was weary of reaching just 1,000 members, same for the second, when we approached 5,000. Now one year later, I...

Yes, congrats Mikey! Keep up the good work on the site! We also have to give a big congrats to the Mods (Point Man, and JGAC). Also the "behind the scene" web guys that we never EVER seem to hear from. They have also done a great job getting the site to where it is. My hat's off to all of you!

Guys, I mean this sincerely. I'm not sure if anyone really understands the amount of time and effort the Rant Daddy puts in to this site. Going to school, having a family of four and working full time would make any man extremely busy. Then, Mike finds time to do what he does for this site, in addition to doing the many small things that help support the site no one else sees. He is very, very passionate about making this work well....and to make it better. I get to see that every day being his friend and living within five minutes of him. Right now, I'm sharing the same house with him and his family, so I get to see it up close. It really is amazing what he does. Most of what you see, he learned on his own...with help from a bunch of people from literally around the world. If he didn't know the answer or how to do something, he asked...and then he learned to do it himself. It's been kind of like not knowing how to build a car from the ground up, but learning how to do and do it well enough that other people from other sites now ask for your help in building their site.
One of Mike's greatest attributes is his ability to get along with people from any walk of life. He really is a people person. That's what's been so effective for him in learning and building SportsRant, IMO. I've been fortuante enough to be his friend for the past ten years. So, as his friend, I'd also like to say thanks to everyone that has ever visited the site, but a big, special thanks to all of you that frequent SportRant and post as often as you do. Every new member means a lot to him. He calls every few days, "Hey, we got 14 new members today!" All the people that come up with ideas for the site; the writers have been a huge addition and something Mike has wanted from the very beginning....thanks to you as well. Okay, I know this is pretty much a "guy" site...sports, girls, etc. So, with that in mind, and without intending to come off mushy or anything like that, I would just like to say, as his friend, that I am proud of what Mike has accomplished with this site. As I know the regulars of SportsRant are, you should be also. Like I said, every member means a lot to him. Like Mike said, there are a bunch of cool ideas being worked on that will help SportsRant explode. Finally, after thanking all of you, I'd like to thank the dude that made it happen. Thanks, buddy! |

Thats a 24/7/365 kind of job. Dont think anyone person could do it, but rather a supercomputer powered by all of the electricity inthe world.
