Loud Mouth Shaq At It Again
Upon being drafted at #10 by the Lakers, the media immediately started questioning the 17yr old kid(Andrew Bynum) about comparisons to Shaq and the kid responded by saying that there may be some comparisons but I can hit my free throws. The supposedly highly educated Shaq responded by saying the he doesn't respond to juvenile deliquents and that he has his BA,Masters and working on his PhD. and when the Kid got some education, then he come talk to him.
First off Mr.Dumbass Shaq, the kid has lived only long enough to graduate from high school. Secondly,as for your BA,Masters and Phd,aren't a couple of those internet Degrees of which may or may not be ligitimate. Thirdly, how do we know that it was actually you who did the internet work to acquire those Degrees.Furthermore, a kid that had a 4.0 gpa and was an honor student, sure as hell isn't a juvenile deliquent, what an astute comment from someone with a couple post graduate Degrees. More sour grapes from a egotistical, out of shape,no free throw shooting fat man. Once Bynum gets some experience over the next couple years,he'll remind Laker fans of a more athletic type center in the mold of Kareem who was able to do more than just stand under the hoop and dunk just because they were the biggest and most powerful player in the league. As has been proven over the last two years, that isn't any longer enough to win an NBA championship. The future of NBA centers is about athleticism and having more to your game than an occassional short jumber and a dunk. |

Raider, are you really bashing the dude that brought you three championships?
You know how Shaq loves a soundbite and the attention. |

KP- Since Shaq left the beloved lakers assasin no longer likes him and will bash him...his choice
In reality I just think that Shaq was avoiding a long drawn out media explosion if he started talking shit back to him besides the snide comment. Let this kid prove something and then run his mouth. Who is this high schooler to call out a dominate force like shaq anyway. Prove yourself then run your mouth if you so desire. All too many times cocky young players come into all sports and blow their load and their future. |

Its funny how these things get blown WAY out of proportion. Bynum is actually a very laid back kid, who hasn't shown any sign of being cocky yet. And in fact the comment wasn't even meant to be a shot at Shaq. It was more a matter of fact. Bynum can shoot free throws alot better than Shaq. I think the kid was nervous and didn't really know what to say when asked about the Shaq comparisons.
But of course the media eats this up and spins and twists this to make a good story. And try to get a good story out of it for the season to come. |

oh my god please....please do not back up bynum when the kid has never played a second in the league...shaq might not hit free throws but he's the most dominant big man of his era...bigger than hakeem and ewing
bynum went to st. joe's, the same school as jason williams(duke) and the same school i played against in high school...he played against everyday 6 foot tall white guys as center...guys who never have a shot at playing college ball...he showed himself pretty well in pre-draft camps but he's had a weight issue in the past and his age make him a project, not an immediate impact player...his comments shoulda been, shaq is a great center...one day i hope to have the impact he's had..the end |

Shaq could have said something worse, though that juvenile delinquent comment was pretty bad.

In defense of Bynum, regardless of his not playing in the league, he can hit his free throws. It wasn't a personal attack on Shaquille when you consider a) the media made the comparisons between him and Shaquille and b)Shaquille can't hit his free throws. Shaquille's clever response? Personal attacks about education and character. In my book, (and some of you who remember me know I have pet peeve about unwarranted personal attacks) that puts Shaquille in the wrong on this one. Do you think Shaquille would have said anything if Bynum were a Trailblazer or Buck?

Not sure, But Shaq just got his MBA from Phoenix, so it cannot be his education, lol
Not sure if he would open his mouth if Bynam was on the Bucks or T-Blazers |

Yes, he got his MBA from Phoenix online and he followed that up with his quote of 'Now when I talk to Donald Trump, I can talk on their level'.....Really? I've got my MBA and actually worked in business (not just a figurehead ala Shaquille) and couldn't talk to Trump on his level....that takes years of experience...not just an online degree....
