Finley waived...

This is a sad day in Maverick-land

but certainly the right move for the Mavs. Finley had been declining and becoming more injury prone.

His efforts will always be remembered, and his legacy will be his professionalism and unselfishness during his Dallas tenure. He will be missed among the Maverick fans, and he can count on a standing ovation from the crowd his first game back in the AAC.

The word is the Spurs are intereseted, although they can't offer as much as teams like the Heat and Pistons. With everyone the Heat brought in, and the political crap going on in Detroit, Finley's best option is the Spurs. He can go from one professinally run organization to maybe the most professionally run organization in the League...and be in line to win a coveted NBA championship in the process.

We'll miss you, Fin!

As soon as they can...apparantly there is a verbal agreement between the two, but there is a NBA mandated date that has to arrive before he can be signed. Don't know exactly what the date is.

Yeah, i was kind of asking what that date was. "As soon as they can" is pretty obvious don't you think? lol, just messing with you. I'm just too lazy to look up what that date is.
