Ya just gotta win! That’s the way it is as far as the NCAA National Championship game goes, and that’s good enough for the Rant. If you’re undefeated to this point, you’re considered for ranking. If you’re not, than you’re not. Quit crying Full Article

And the only reason FSU beat UNRANKED Miami was 'cause of their defense. And the only reason LSU beat UNRANKED ASU was 4th quarter meltdown by the Sun Devils defense. And the only reason Texas beat UNRANKED Ohio State was due to the Buckeyes inability to score TDs instead of field goals.

We could make excuses all the way down the line. The thing is....they won.

I can't help but notice my 2-0 Buffaloes are not even mentioned - perhaps with good reaosn, since they've only played Colorado State and New Mexico State so far.

But when we're 3-0 next week after beating Miami tomorrow they had DAMN well better be on the list.

That was the reason for leaving them out, jtg. Their schedule strength is very, very low to this point.

Trust me, if they beat Miami they will be in the poll...and Man, would I love to see them beat Miami!

Well, if CSU had won a game after we'd beaten them it might be ebetter. NMSU hung tight with #13 Cal for a while tonight, but they didn't quite get it.

I'm excited for this game tomorrow. If the Buffs win it, we'll be back in the Top 25 in the nation for the first time in two years. Very, very exciting. The players and coaches are all very upbeat. They think this is a winnable game, and I'm inclined to agree.

Remember....there's no more important poll in the country than the Rant Poll!

Sorry jtg...the Buffs won't beat anyone with 17 penalties. In the first half, it looked like maybe Colorado could hang with the Canes.

Huh? Oh.. Um... When I said we would be 3-0, I really meant that we wouldn't actually ger our 3rd win of the season in Miami, and that we might come close to scoring 0 points for the first time since 1988. Yeah, that's what I meant.

Such a disappointing game. The way CU's defense went out and stopped Miami 3-and-out on their first two possessions, it looked like we might have a shot. Plus, the way we moved the ball on that first possession was encouraging, even though Mason Crosby missed a chipshot field goal.

In the end, it was because of Crosby that we avoided being shut out for the first time in 17 years. He booted a 58-yard field goal that was absolutely drilled to equal the longest FG kicked in the NCAA so far this season. That kick could have been good from almost 70 yards.

23-3... An unfortunate loss, but it could have been much, much, much worse.
