Scores & stats on the cell

I just got an email from my buddy Bob. He told me about this new phone thing, 4info.net. You can get scores and sstats on your phone for free. I tried it last night while I was driving home from my sisters. I typed in "favre" and sent it as a text messge to 4INFO (44636). It came back like 10 seconds later with his stats for the game, which were pretty good by hte way. Has anybody else out there tried it out or know of another similar service? I really like it but if theres something better I would like to know.

Obviously you either own the site or have something to do with it. So I have a question for you... this seems like a pretty cool idea, however, does the site do anything with your cell number when you send a text to the site? Meaning we aren't going to be receiving all kinds of spam phone calls are we? Also, why is this service free? How does the site make money from this?

(Or maybe you can ask your "friend" bob for me, thanks!)

Well, I really don't have much to do with it. I do know a marketing guy who works with them, "Bob". I'll answer as best I can, the site will not SPAM your phone. As far as how they make money, I have no idea. I assume they have advertising on the site or maybe the free thing is only temporary. I really don't know. But the service is awesome and I will continue to use it as long as its free.

I don't think this should be a ban either. He doesn't seem to be trying to get money for a service for anyone. If it is a totally free sports related thing, why would anyone mind if he posts? I actually used it while I was away for the last day and a half and it worked great. I got to keep up with the sports world without having to wait for my damn internet to load on my phone.
