first- wasnt my article.

second- the spot of the ball for the last play was garbage- it should have been at least to the 1 1/2 yard line or the 2. Finally, the biggest problem I had was that the shove by Reggie Bush is a completely illegal move- 100% and Reggie even admitted he did it. Without that last play, Tony's 31-28 prediction of an ND win is DEAD ON.

Extremely frustrating loss, but we had our chances (4th and 9). Probably the worst loss I've felt in the past 12 years as a sports fan.

USC. good team but the greatest I dont think so. The last spot of the ball on the last play was shit. Matt was stuffed at at least the three. The ball cam down in bounds but was then pushed out in the scramble after the clock was at 2 not seven seconds. Did Matt make the touchdown? Sure only after every possible advantage was given to USC. I hope Texas makes it against USC to the BCS. It will be only one of two or three teams that USC cant just roll over. I mean Hawaii for christ sake My mommas knitting circle could have rolled Hawaii. To these lesser opponents .. all of my respect because there is no shame in losing to a tsunami. There is no shame in losing to someone so high out of your league that even the fans know that there is no chance. But to USC , dont believe the hype baby. I saw more holes in you than swiss chees and its only a crappy call and spot that kept you above water this week.

I HATE, HATE, HATE Notre Dame. In a sick way it made my night to see them get screwed so bad. But lets face the truth here, thats exactly what happened to them, they got SCREWED! What Reggie Bush did to push Leinart into the endzone is illegal. I don't care if "they never call that", it is still against the rules in the rule book and they should not have been givin that final touch down.

I have to agree, although i must see the play, i did not see it. Here is the official rule:

SECTION 3. Blocking, Use of Hands or Arms
Who May Block
ARTICLE 1. Players of either team may block opponents, provided it is not
forward-pass interference, interference with the opportunity to catch a kick
or a personal foul (Exception: Rule 6-1-2-h).
Interfering for or Helping the Runner or Passer

ARTICLE 2.

a. The runner or passer may use his hand or arm to ward off
or push opponents.

b. The runner shall not grasp a teammate; and no other player of his team
shall grasp, push, lift or charge into him to assist him in forward
progress.

I'm still pissed about this loss. The bush push was COMPLETELY illegal, but I dont like the rule at all and I know its a garbage rule, so I cant be mad about that. I do agree that the ball shouldve been spotted back a yard at least, which wouldve made a huge difference. The thing that kills me most though is the most perfect pass I have seen in football when leinart threaded the needle on 4th and 9...damn
