Flyers bury Isles with four in first (AP)
Philadelphia kept building its lead instead of blowing it. The Flyers showed how quickly they learned the importance of playing with a purpose for all 60 minutes. Michal Handzus scored twice and Simon Gagne added his NHL-leading seventh goal to lead the Flyers to a 5-1 victory over the New York...

Say NO to Shootouts!

MUCH better looking game from our Flyboys last night. The only goal they gave up was when they were short handed (5 on 3). Esche looked solid for the first time this year, and i'm hoping he is starting to get back into the flow. Forsberg and Gagne are simply amazing together. The chemistry already is helping them kill the rest of the league.
Gagne 7 goals in 5 games. Forsberg 10 assists in 5 games. However, I don't know how much Brashear smoked Goddard when Brash had to leave with blood all over his face. |

I credit Brashear with the loss as well. Not a good fight for him.
Too bad Forsberg hasn't scored a dandy yet. I haven't seen a Flyers game yet this season, has he put on a stickhandling show for you guys yet? |

Just to further prove the chemistry and dominance of Forsberg and Gagne thus far all we have to do is look at the stats. Currently, after only 5 games (which is less than half the league), Peter and Simon are tired for the league lead in points with 10. Gagne leads the NHL in goals with 7 (on pace for a 115 goal season
), Forsberg leads the NHL in assists with 10. Also, Gagne and Forsberg are 1st and 2nd in the NHL in +/- rating with a +8 and +7 respectively. There is simply no better linemates in the NHL at this point. And we all know we have Forsberg to thank for that. |

Ahh........whatever! Brash had a cut over his left eye -- big deal! He definitely got the better of the flush face shots though. thus, the "V".
Gags and Forsberg have been incredible, that I'll agree with totally. It's only a matter if time before the division domination begins. Right after their little West Point get together, the will take control and never look back.

As long as you're the one who won the fight......who cares about a little blood?
