Joe Morgan's comments about blacks in baseball is about as racist as it gets. Let's see, there's less blacks in baseball because they're discriminated against, but there are less whites in basketball and football because blacks are better athletes. Blacks make up 13 percent of the population, Joe. Do you think every sport should be 13 percent black? Skill matters, Joe, not race.

I couldn't support your comments more, it seems today that blacks are bitching and moaning about everything that has to do with their race. I think they are getting way out of line, this is America, it is the melting pot of the world where we welcome any and all race and creeds who are willing and able to contribute and support the U.S. as citizens with ample opportunity for all. It's great to be proud of your roots and heritage but let's keep this in perspective here folks, blacks are crying about and blaming race as the determining factor in any given scenario. What ever happened to the most qualified person gets the job or the best players get to play? I may be getting a bit off the subject but our freedoms and rights are the greatest things about living in America but I think we're getting carried away with abusing those rights by whining that my race isn't getting the credit, opportunity or due it deserves. Go out and earn it just like everyone else does and be thankful for the opportunity to do so.

Dude that is a perfect 1st post. I cannot agree with you more. Morgan is just out of his mind on this one and i see your point. I do not think that it is all blacks but it does seem to make national news when they cry wolf. Not to be racial because I am far from that, I just want everyone to get along

Exactly. I think it's important to note that it's not just one race, and not all members of that race. Some hispanics are just as bad, and so are some whites, just to nick the surface. Really the problem is stupid people. We need to eliminate them.

People just like to complain to be heard. I have a lot of respect for Joe Morgan...I lost a bit with his comments, but I still have respect for him. I just wish athletes could be judged for their abilities instead of having their skin color tossed in to the conversation. The Astros were the best TEAM in the NL regardless of anything but ability.
