2005-2006 Season Predictions

Next week the season starts, and since nobody seems interested so far, I suppose I'll get the ball rolling with a few of my uneducated and pointless predictions.

Eastern Conference:
1. Miami (Southeast division champs)
2. Indiana (Central division)
3. Boston (Atlantic division)
4. Cleveland
5. Detroit
6. Chicago
7. Philadelphia
8. New York

Western Conference:
1. San Antonio (Southwest division)
2. Denver (Northwest division)
3. Sacramento (Pacific division)
4. Houston
5. Memphis
6. Dallas
7. Phoenix
8. Los Angeles.......................... CLIPPERS! HA!

Eastern Conference Finals:
Miami over Indiana

Western Conference Finals:
San Antonio over Denver

2006 NBA Finals:
San Antonio over Miami

Think you can do better? Prove it, smart guy!

Nobody cares about the NBA this year? Am I to take that in just one month, the NHL has surpassed the NBA in popularity? Or does nobody on this site give a flying fuck about professional basketball this season?

I think all it means is there really aren't a whole lot of NBA fans here. I remember we used to have a regular on here whose main interest in sports was the NBA (can't even remember his name), but that was two years ago. I know Raider Assassin is a big Lakers fan but I haven't seen him since I've been back either. As for me, when it comes to basketball, I follow college basketball but have never been too interested in the NBA. Probably because I grew up in Pittsburgh.

I know personally I really don't give a shit about the NBA (national ballhog association) but I will watch occasionally if there is nothing else on. I only really root for the 4 teams i like (Wizards, Mavs, Sixers, and Hornets). But i'm willing to bet i will not see more that 2 full NBA games this season until the playoffs. Too much hockey on to waste my time with the NBA. I will however watch alot of college basketball this year... i'm a big fan of that.

Nothing in the NBA even compares to the excitement of college basketball. Put money into the equation and you get a bunch of selfish idiots trying to make themselves look good. More so than in any other sport. (I will say nothing more on this subject because I refuse to play the race card).

I really have to agree with you on that one. I've probably watched more whole basketball games in the past two seasons than I have in all my life because the Nuggets haven't been, you know, the Nuggets. But nothing compares to watching college basketball. Makes me sad that my school has nothing close to a significant basketball program.

The last NBA game I watched featured some tall ginger guy name of Walton I believe playing for Portland Trailblazers. So I suppose that means I fit in the just don't give a flying fuck category.
