The Rant Poll

SportsRant’s Weekly Top 25

Who remembers the song by Queen, “Another One Bites the Dust?” Well, that could be the theme for college football’s Brotherhood of Unbeatens. As expected, Georgia, having to use their backup QB, fell to the offensively challenged Florida Gators.

As far...

I don't know how much of a rollover game Missouri is, but I'm hoping we can win it in sytle.

Especially with the game being in Boulder. Missouri is just fading...sure, they had a good game against Nebraska, but that really isn't saying a whole lot.

Not this season at least.

I'm not going to the game tomorrow, so I'm all but certain that CU will score approximately 7 defensive and/or special teams touchdowns.

What happened to Rutgers? They lose by 14 at home to South Florida?

It's because you put them into the Rant Poll. It's some sort of curse.

11. Wisconsin 8-1 Badgers better have their running game in high gear this weekend. If not, the game will be over by the 3rd quarter.
Right on. Having interests in both Wisconsin and Penn State, I can't decide whether to be happy or disappointed. But one thing is for sure...Penn State has a hell of a defense.

As for UCLA, so much for being underrated. Tonight proves why UCLA is not in the same class as USC (or any other undefeated team-- and won't be in the same class as the other one loss teams either).

I'm on my way to the RoadKill Grill to get a healthy serving of Crow....

UCLA just looked simply awful. You're right, they were the worst undefeated team, and now they'll be the worst one loss team...well, they could be TCU, I guess.

Yes, they are still better than TCU. But not Miami, Virginia Tech, Penn State, or Ohio State. I couldn't care less about LSU...scheduling a I-AA opponent in November is pathetic. Chalk West Virginia and Texas Tech up in the "maybe" column of one-loss teams UCLA could beat.

Nope.....not better than the teams you mentioned. I mean, to get beat this way by a two win team...I'm not sure who they'd be better than.

At least now I'll save about $1,000 now that I don't have to go to the usc game.....

I would have liked to see UCLA go undefeated up to the USC game so that game would have had national title implications for both teams. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but assuming UCLA doesn't choke again like this, they will still win the Pac-10 if they beat USC...but I think a national title is out of the picture now.

Well, assuming UCLA wins out, which includes a win versus usc, and both Oregon and usc win their remaining games, there would be a three way tie for first. usc already beat Oregon, UCLA would have to have beaten usc. UCLA and Oregon do not play this year.

I'm not sure how the tie-breakers go.

And, none of the three would be in the NC game.

I don't know about that. Oklahoma made the national championship in '03 despite losing their final game. But if Texas, Alabama and Miami win out, I think USC would end up #4 if UCLA beat them.
