lol, no, they didn't go against each other last time. I got by Mark in the first round and lost to Nick in the 2nd.

I started 44 threads about pcp only when my pick to win the world series ended up...winning the world series. How often does that happen? Especially picking a team that hadn't won it in like 90 years. Doesn't change anything, I know I still lost to Jay, I just wanted to remind everyone that I can be lucky too.

Nick, I haven't rec'd the topic either, I did fill out another questionnaire though.

Ok guys, slight problem. Avery has handed P/CP over to me. He cannot continue it due to some personal responsibilities. Nick has forfeited this round, making Mark the winner to move on to the finals by default. Now for the problem, venture over to the Btownjay - Ssigman thread.

An espn.com poll rated it as the greatest sports rivalry of the 20th century. For many it’s the biggest game of the year and I will say this- It is, hands down, the best rivalry in college football. That being said, it’s also the most overrated. It’s this way with a lot of things at the top, especially in this era of excessive media hype for even the smallest games. The fact of the matter is that this rivalry, while great, isn’t that much greater than the rest. College football is built on great rivalries and has dozens of other fantastic games- ND-USC, Army-Navy, Florida State-Florida and of course, Auburn-Alabama (maybe even throw Texas- Texas A&M in there).

All of those rivalries have great, great history and those teams are always ranked highly when they meet (with the exception of current day Army-Navy, but that is still a great rivalry), but they are always ranked far behind Michigan-OSU in the eyes of most major media outlets. There have been just as many great games in the other rivalries I have mentioned and just as many great coaches and history as there has been in OSU-Michigan.

OSU-Michigan- great rivalray? Absolutely. Greatest in college football? I think so. Overrated? No question about it
