The Yankees do have alot of money, but thats only because of guys like Steinbrenner who actually works with the team he owns. It is impossible to be a Yankmee fan and a baseball fan because the actions of Steinbrenner are effectively killing the game. He didn’t enter into the contract with A-rod, but with all the star power on one team, why would fans go watch their local teams other than when the Yankmees are in town. Baseball needs to find a way to ensure that all teams have a chance to sign the star players, not just the few teams that are willing or able to outspend everybody else.

p.s. Henry, the owner of the Red Sox is an asshole, but he is right.

Texas got Soriano and I'm happy. People at ESPN compared the starts to both these guys careers and how they are parallel. A-Rod gone lets them improve now on important things, like MORE OFFENSE!!! or pitching should they finally realize that's their problem. Yanks blow. 27??? championships? Whoever is second to that probably has like 8. It's bad for baseball when one team in effect has a lock on a W.S. title. But hey, the bigger they are, the louder I laugh when they fall!!!
