I Hate Mondays: A Sensible Mock Draft (Part II)
Last week I examined the top five teams selecting in the 2006 NFL draft and here’s a sensible mock draft:
1. Reggie Bush (Houston Texans) 2. A.J. Hawk (New Orleans Saints) 3. Matt Leinart (Tennessee Titans) 4. D'Brickashaw Ferguson (New York Jets) 5. Mario Williams (Green Bay Packers) ... Full Article |

I agree with most of what you said.
My only disagreement is Buffalo signing Tripplett was much bigger then mediocre. He fills a hole and should let a newly healthy Takeo Spikes to make some sacks or at least get to the ball a lot sooner and a lot easier then usual. I mean, they are in no way a contender but if it's in their house and its late in the season and you are playing for something, Buffalo isnt a look past game anymore. I see Oakland getting a defensive player even if Vernon 'Everyone is in love with me' Davis is still on the board. Huff-Ngata-Bunkley and an LB isnt out of the question. |

Larry Tripplett was drafted 42nd overall in the 2002 draft, two spots ahead of LeCharles Bentley, and underachieved for three seasons and I would even say his last year, a contract year, wasn't anything spectacular.
You can't really use any statistics to measure a defensive tackle's worth, but considering Tony Dungy, one of the brighter defensive minds, showed zero interest in re-signing him, I don't call this acquisition by the Bills a shrewd move. Signing guys like C Melvin Fowler, who was a bust in Minnesota and who the Vikings had no interest in re-signing, as well as giving Peerless Price to a 4-year/$10 M contract when the only other offers he was fielding were 1-year/league minimums, is just an example of how the Bills organization is a disaster from top to bottom. |

Don't the niners now have two picks in the first round? Could this change their pick for a TE... I think they would need WR or Line help!!

2 things Mike.
1) a great TE makes the most sense for the Niners, and if you have the chance draft him in fantasy league cuz he's going to be alex smith's favorite option. Then with their 2nd pick prolly take an LB. 2) It says your location is Dallas, but its obvious you're a San Fran-atic (see what I did there, its called a pun) Just wondering, when that happend. Like, did you live in San Fran then have to move or are you just in love wiht the bay area?- |

The wide receiver class is fairly thin at the top and the two top WR's, Chad Jackson and Santonio Holmes, will probably be gone by the time the Niners get to their 22nd overall selection.
