This son of a bitch, plain and simple prick. Here is what they did to him: suspending the Hamilton Bulldogs forward for the remainder of the playoffs and the entire 2004-2004 season for his stick-swinging attack on Cleveland Barons defenceman Garrett Stafford during a post-season contest last week.

Actually, this guy is AHL. And he is a major jackass.

The NHL needs major work. It was a better league in the 80's. IMO

The disciplinarians finally got one right. Perezhogin truly is a jackass however, it was good to see the league acknowledge that there was more to the incident than Perezhogin’s stupid actions. This is not to blame the victim because by no means did the poor bastard deserve such a hit but he was culpable for what he did. He swun his stick wildly with the intention of hitting Perezhogin and missed. While normally we punish the outcome instead of the action itself, this clearly sends a message that if you swing your stick with the intention of hitting someone, regardless of whether you make contact you will be punished.

Agreed, they go too far with stupid ass rules (goalie interference) and not far enough with the rules they should.
