Yeah that is a huge steaming pile of .

What this tells us is that the Spurs are cowards. It wasn't a punch, it was a shove to get the player off of him after the whistle had blown. But the Spurs whine and cry to the league to get one of the Mavs most productive players in the series suspended. I didn't like the Spurs much before that, but now i'm really hoping they lose. Its a coward move to do in the playoffs.

To me,the NBA should adopt a penalty box for situations like this.Seems just like a heat of the battle thing to me.Put the guy in the box for 2 minutes giving the other team a man advantage.

lol, that would be funny to see. I wonder what their 'foul killing' stratagy would be.

However, in this case the refs didn't even call a foul on Terry. The Spurs sent the tape to the league for them to review. They wanted nothing more than to get Terry suspended.

Oh,then yeah the Spurs are a bunch of cowards.
Still, why does the NBA totally freak out at the slightest bit of emotion.
Are they competing with Golf ? Just makes you realize what a great sport hockey is.

Ok did anyone see this or see the replays? I didn't but thought I heard/read that he punched/grabbed Finley in the nuts? I could be wrong and well I prefer Dallas to win so this sucks but if that is the case then I can see a suspension warranted. Lets be honest a scrambble for the ball in the NBA is basically no holds bar but if in fact he did punch/grab his nuts and a different angle verified that then do you still think its crap?

I would say a suspension is warranted in that case.Only one problem though
Does the NBA have a properly trained video replay nut inspector to verify this?

From what I read from the article (not in this thread) they looked at various angles that were not replayed that apparently showed this "punch" or "grab"

You would think that if he grabbed the jewels, the guy would be on the floor
in pain as a result.

There was never a "grab" in question. Using a fist, he pushed/jabbed Finley off of him because he had people laying on him. It couldn't have been comfortable for Terry because he was by far the smallest dude in the pile, and he had the ball. Terry wasn't even looking at Finley and caught him in the nuts with said fist. I promise you, if he had pushed with his fist and it was on Finley's chest it wouldn't have been a foul.

It was right near the end of the game, one i was actually watching. What an incredible finish.

Perfect... here...

I'm thinking Terry needed to get Finley off of his head. If thats a punch, then the NBA is setting themselves up to have players suspended every other day.

To me that looks like a low blow given the area of the "punch" and how Finley reacted to it with his body....any guy can tell you that even the slightest ding if you will in that area can be painful.
