New Mexico CB Hall quits over academics (AP)
University of New Mexico cornerback Juamar Hall has quit the team after having academic problems, according to coach Rocky Long. The San Angelo, Texas, native entered spring practice as a starter but the coaching staff held him out last week so he could catch up on course work. Long said Monday that Hall told him he didn't think he could make up the work.
